11 Maruti (Hanuman) installed by Shri Samarth Ramdas Swami; a famous saint and a Contemporary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (the Maratha emperor). He wrote famous ‘Manache Shlok’ to strengthen the common man’s mind. Along with mind, He emphasized on strengthening the body. For the same purpose, roaming in different places, he installed eleven Maruti (the god of mental & physical strength) temples around Sajjangad. These temples are located in Satara and Kolhapur districts. This off bit tour can be completed in one or two days.

चाफळामाजी दोन उंब्रजेसी येक ।
पारगांवी देख चौथा तो हा ॥
पांचवा मसुरीं शहापुरीं सहावा ।
जाण तो सातवा शिराळ्यांत॥
सिंगणवाडीं आठवा मनपाडळें नववा।
दहावा मानवा मजक्षावीं॥
बह्यात अकरावा येणेरिती गावा।
सर्व मनोरथा पुरवील॥
वेणी म्हणे स्वामी समर्थ रामदास।
कीर्ती गगनांत न सामावे॥
